I'm off to volunteer at a camp as a camp counselor for the littlest kiddies as well as doing drawings to help with the Bible lessons. I really like how I get to use my art for God's glory: teaching the next generation about Him! I won't be back till next Saturday. See you then!
No worries, though, I'm going to be toting along my art supplies to work on my Keira Knightley portrait. I'm making good progress and am pretty happy with how she's turning out! Be warned, it's not going to be a conventional picture of her--I wanted to encompass something more than the airbrushed photoshoots; I wanted the
real Keira, so this one has actual emotion! It's actually a lot more fun drawing a face that has emotion than one with none at all.
On a separate note, remember how I was saying I drew my teacher's pet dog? Well, to say she loved it would be an understatement. I was scared she wouldn't like it, but she started tearing and hugged me three times, while peppering me with praise. She then went to every classroom to show it off to everyone who would stand long enough to look at it. I'm so happy she liked it!
